Championship basketball game!  They've improved so much this season.

That little puppy was so happy to see everyone.

Then she got so tired.

In the afternoon we went over to Sunnylane Park, which is always a nice place to be.

After we got sick of that we went over to the park near my parents where they have the zip lines.

These are really long ones, and pretty fast.

The pond looks weird with no plants around it.

In the evening it was time to put up these fine roller shades I bought at Walmart.

There it is: Ta-Da!

It looks like the wood on these windows could use some sandpaper and TLC, but nevermind that. Another day.

Along the way there was a struggle. 

Finally the window was opened in the hallway to catch a breeze. That helped.

Anyway, it was a fine, lovely Monday.

I love this video--him king of the coffee table, entertaining the group, and then crabby old me appears, scolding.

It just makes me laugh so much.  Even 18 years into this grandma thing it is still way wilder and scruffier than I ever pictured.

But it is also so much fun.

These patient aunts led this rousing game. The kids are good at it.

We cooked supper on Friday night to celebrate.

We sang Happy Birthday to this newly teenaged person

And to James

Even with more and more candles, still efficient.

James, every year:

Your patience, kindness, sense of humor, so reliable, and so appreciated.
