the weekend

Jay did yard clean up and I painted the trim.

John took us for supper at Tony's, and these displays in the dining room seem so bizarre, but others take it in stride, so it must just be me.

This swamp is waking up, getting noisy.

And it was warm enough to have lunch on the deck, and the night before we played cards, and she's quite good at it.

one more time

It was my birthday again, same as every year, very nice.

Took this picture of the sky last night, right before we did the turtle tank, ran out with my camera.   The light seemed more yellow than the camera captured, but beautiful evening.

This dog knows how to nap. The blanket is on there specifically to accommodate her.

These are a couple from my birthday, I could crop out all that excess ceiling, but didn't think of it until now.  Oh well.

I do realize how lucky I am  to celebrate my birthday with both my parents and my grandkids.

a little sun, a little art

We are so ready for some warm days. 

This one wasn't all that warm, but the sun felt amazing.

We worked on some art kits--stained glass tissue paper art, which was pretty funny.

We're not that good at it, and the art supplies were clear stick on, which is hard to see, and well.

With lots of laughing and experimenting and squinting at the instructions we persevered, and Heidi said they are actually very pretty in the windows.

Anyway, easy company, lots of laughing, always the best.

spring program

It was a great program, well rehearsed and nicely done.

It was an Under the Sea program which made the square dancing and cowboys all the better.

And then?  Ice cream

It was a very laid back, rainy Sunday.

There were gifts

And cake

I am so proud of the woman you've become and have so much appreciation for your conscientious loving heart, your perseverance and patience.

And I hope this year is the best year EVER.
