 Last night was the 60th birthday party, and it was lovely.  Everyone came and ate and seemed happy to see each other.

 There was lots of pizza and plenty of food.

 Gifts were fun, even if the glitter got a little out of control.

 The little child was super excited about her birthday gifts too.

 Cake time!

 Grandpa's turn!  They're discussing strategy.

 Yay!!

And then soon it was over and we all went home.

Thanks for all the love and care you show this whole family.  You always show up to help--anything from babysitting to horrible projects, you're there.

You pay the bills.  You cook the food.  You put gas in the cars.  You drag the trash cans to and fro.  You put worms on the hook and take the fish off.   You figure out what's stuck in the dishwasher and tell us we should all be glad we'll never know exactly what was stuck in the other pipes.

The radiator?   Taken care of.

The windshield wipers?  Got it.

The weird noise?  You'll find out.

This whole family is lucky being yours.

Happy fifth birthday!  Five years of you little girls, and you're the first birthday of the year!  Look how big you are.

 Grandpa's favorite thing about his birthday is sharing it with you.

You are you:  Loud and rascally, and a natural performer.  You love friends and love to have fun.  You have great ideas and a sense of adventure and drama.

There's just nobody quite like you and how lucky we are having you.

 It was the perfect day for this and apparently everyone else thought so too. The place was packed.

 We packed sandwiches and ate lunch there.

This thing caught on fire in a customer's house, could have  been a disaster. Then the battery exploded.   Nobody was hurt, nothing bad happened, very grateful.

quiet, quiet week

 Everyone is back to school and work.  It was so quiet here all week.

The snowstorm that was supposed to be dramatic?  It was not.  It was a very pretty Friday night, snow was done falling within a few hours.

Kids are coming tomorrow since there's no school.  House should be a little more lively then.

Dad drove her back to the university, and it's all good, but I'm going to miss you like crazy!!!!

Winter break was just lovely.

 That's our guy, #11.

This child had an egg carton full of little trinkets. She also pulled out tap shoes--always handy at a basketball game.

Her brother is #11 also.

 And this game, our guy is that one in the middle, #24.

 My pictures are blurry, but this was a very fast game, so much running.
