Sunday night took Joe the rhubarb he left behind at Jay's, and had a few minutes on the patio. The puppy was wild, and I was winding her up and she BIT me on the chin. It didn't matter, but then the kids were all, "Grandma! You're bleeding!" and they brought a Toy Story band aid and slapped it on my face. Nice of them to bandage me up.

They're so funny.
These are the flowers James and Kenya brought, all purple and white with a ribbon, so pretty.

Volleyball tournament! Was great to see how much they've improved. Used to do a lot of watching and then moving after the moment had passed. Now they're much more on it.
The hoverboard made an appearance.
Sunday trip to Little Jay and Katie's where work on the fence continued. This machine was a helluva beast.
It did work really well, but good grief.

the end of the week
Our guy had a choir concert, really nice. They had interesting music and had obviously practiced. It's a huge group and the teacher seems so excited about teaching them.
This happened though--umbrella lifted straight up in a gust of wind, went about ten feet in the air. It reminded me of Wizard of Oz. Tim came outside and wrassled it back into order and took it inside.
We made it to lacrosse in the evening.
It was senior night, high school coming to an end.
She and I just about froze to death. Her brothers went home at halftime, which was a good choice.
And that's the end of a beautiful Friday.
Had a minute before we left to enjoy a little gymnastics practice.

grandparents day
It started with a church service.
There were classroom tours, bingo, an art display, all wonderful.
Jay watched this guy, and prevailed at naptime.
Love you all, Grandma, aka Val
