soccer night

Ahh, these two. What a great picture.

This soccer game was an enjoyable time, and Jay was happy to be there.  What a beautiful September t his has been.

the ghost is back

Indeed, and looking fine.

I set this up in the dark last Friday night.  All the anchor lines were tangled and I struggled to figure them out in the dark using my phone's flashlight.

But there!  A thing of beauty:

fall

Our maple tree always starts to turn early.

The lake today was beautiful.

We're continuing work on the floor.  It's not fast going, but progress is steady.

These pictures made my day.   We were not with them, here working on the floor, but still loved the pictures.

Awww, so sweet, so much fun.

beautiful september

Took the whole summer, but these flowers are blooming, a nice surprise.

John showed up to take out the jet ski and the ramp for it, and do some other work at his cabin.  That's Jay driving it over to the landing.  What a gorgeous day.

Little bit of fall color starting to appear.
Jay hooked the hose to the warm water faucet in the shower house and we gave her a scrubbing down outside in the yard. She looked at us like, "You've got to be kidding."  But she stood there miserably frowning at us until all the bubbles were rinsed.

Then we took her on a pontoon ride to speed up the drying process. That part she liked.

And then we loaded up the car in about ten minutes and came home again with a clean dog and a good start on the new floor.

new floor

We started out by placing it on the floor in different directions trying to see which way we preferred.  We were indecisive so we sent the pictures to Dan and Alicia.  Diagonal would make the room look bigger.  But installation would be easier square, so we did square.  There's so much furniture and clutter in the room it probably won't look that big anyway in the end.

And anything you do, always want to have a large dog nearby.

This method did not work at all.  We'll save the scraper for busting up ice next winter.

It's a lot brighter than the flooring we had before.

Next week, we'll keep working on it.

Love, Val
