This week he's on his own, no training wheels.  James was babysitting and said he didn't love them sailing down the alley at top speed, made him nervous.   No cars were around, but please, just be safe.   Independence!  Freedom!

helping with a birthday party

 It was a school friends party with a herd of very energetic girls, so much laughing and giddiness.

 Musical chairs, only with pillows.  It got pretty wild.

It was fun. I haven't been to a kid birthday party of this type in a long time.

so glad for spring

The yard is truly disgusting.

I hope to tackle this over the weekend, but right now?  It's disturbing.

Otherwise, the week has been quiet and lovely.

 I took the pedicure spa over to Heidi's for fun.  They enjoyed it thoroughly.

 So the dog has thrown herself down on the baby blankets and the boppy.

Why?

Anyway, the sun was bright, the air fresh and soft, and April is only days away.

saturday project

 Repaired the windows, last time we worked these over was about 25 years ago.  The rotten parts were cut away and replaced with new wood, putty all fixed up.   When that's dry we can repaint and hopefully they'll be all set for another 25 years.

 Kids are home from college for now, and Heidi and Joe stopped over this afternoon.

 Kirsten showed up, and supper was festive and fun, and these guys laughed and played a board game.

 It was a very nice ending to a very nice weekend.

a fun toy

This girl had a splinter in her foot, so I brought this out to see if it would help.  She loves water, messing with water, playing in the water, so she loved this.

 It took a little while for them to get up the courage to put their feet in, but then they were happy for a couple hours.

 The dolls got involved.

Anyway, a pleasant Thursday spent playing in the sun.
