halloween, 2017

They all went over to my parents to trick or treat and eat left overs from the two weekend parties.  I had to stay back and work, but that's okay.  I put candles in a couple extra pumpkins, set them in the windows,  and put the bowl of candy on the front steps with a note to help themselves.

It was a lovely evening, and the gang had fun trick or treating.

 Finally ready to head out:

Happy Halloween!

Onward to November!   Love, Val

pumpkin carving

We weren't even sure we were going to do it this year.   Nobody will be home on Halloween to answer the door for trick or treaters, plus we were tired, and the whole thing seemed unnecessary.

But I asked the kids if they wanted to carve pumpkins, and to my surprise they DID.  Maria and I went to Menards and found pumpkins on clearance and a long plastic tarp and brought them back.

Anyway, it was a lot of fun!

I love you kids,

Mom

Today was the day, and everything went very well.

 Tim and his godparents:

I wanted a picture of Tim with his cake.
Foolishness took over, and it was hard to straighten up.

 Gifts, with his nephew recording:

She'll sleep like a rag doll on her mom, but wakes up instantly if she tries to slip her into bed.

It was a lovely day.  I should have taken more pictures.

Thank you to everybody who made it here to celebrate with us.

Love, Val

halloween party, 2017

Heidi and Joe hosted the party. Everyone brought food and it was a feast.

Jay's costume is No-Noggin from Curious George.

The bumble bee and the lady bug:
A cute little Ninja Turtle and his M & M grandpa:

Sadly, I forgot all about bringing toilet paper for the mummy wrap.  We're going to do that tomorrow instead.

Happy  Halloween!   Love, Val
