dance recitals

This is the first recital, and it was wonderful. They danced beautifully.

They said no pictures during the performance, but we got lots in the hall.

So far, so good.

And then they fell over!   Hahaha

 The second recital they didn't have a rule about photos during the performance, so Dannell got some good ones of our dancer.

They didn't say no photos in the hallway.  Heidi took this one, and it's a great pic.

What a lovely day, all that hard work coming to such a beautiful finale.  The stamina and endurance it takes to dance like this is impressive, and you girls did it!

the tiger room

These two:

He didn't want to go to the bathroom before they left, so I tried to entice him, "You should see my  Snoopy bathroom."

He didn't know we even had one.  Mostly they stay in the family room and use the monkey bathroom.

His eyes were huge and he liked the Snoopy soap dish and hair dryer, gifts from Laurie.

When I told him his mom was waiting and we should go he said, "I want to see the tiger room."

I was puzzled, "I don't have a tiger room."

"Yes, you do!" and he showed me in here, Tim's old room we use as my office.
 

Wow!  This whole week of work has felt strangely better knowing that through his eyes it is a tiger room.

end of the year events

Orchestra concert, very beautiful, there was also a choir concert for him on Thursday, but I didn't think of taking any pictures.  It really something to hear them at this level, really talented kids and educators.

This was the production of Beauty and the Beast, which was nicely done and suprisingly hilarious.

They had a stage prop of a cardboard fireplace, big and unwieldy, but not heavy.   Every scene change they carried it off the stage and down the stairs, and then the next scene, in the dark, here comes the fire place back up the stairs.

Like twenty times!

It was great.

And that Beast with the oven mitt hands,  Oh. My. Goodness.

Another orchestra concert

They're a tiny group and there's such sweetness about a little group of beginners. They get better fast. Year by year that practicing pays off.

And of course a little lacrosse before the choir concert:

No pictures of his choir concert.  Forgot my phone in the car.  Fun songs, a great group--very nice.

 This month of May must have you kids feeling both accomplished and tired.

The spammers are LOVINGLY preparing my scam order or the scam bills for $590 or whatever.

What sweethearts they are, awwww.  

The little darlings, they're even sending it to Texas, (never been there) to a city that doesn't exist.
