quiet weekend

Weekend started with rearranging the front room, getting the fridge out of the cramped corner where it was.
Good choice.

We went to the Farmer's Market and bought this unruly bouquet.
And these long hydrangeas
Went for a boat ride--
Jay spent hours clearing brush from along the trail to the field, and cleared brush behind Heidi and Joe's trailer, so much brush, and has a good start now on the pile for the fire on MEA if it isn't too dry out.

Jay repaired the floor lamp, which we need. It's dark in the living room without it.
And I waxed the living room floor.   First we had to take the rug outside and I hoped rolling it around in the grass would get some dust off it, and we could vacuum it and bring it back.

Umm, that would be no.

It smelled like some kind of dog b.o.   It didn't smell like pee, but like wet dog stank.

Sadly, it went into the dumpster.

And that's the end of that.  We planned to stay until Monday, but the phone rang and we both had work to do, so we came home Sunday night.

Onward.

September, you beautiful thing.

Love, Val
