last day of april

Jay had to get a tool from Joe, so we got to see these kids tonight.

This is the first really nice day and evening so far this spring, warm, grass getting green, kind of wonderful.

So much love, Grandma

pinata

Sometimes the pinata is so heavy that the weight of it rips the loop right out of the top before the kids hardly get started.

This year, I am very proud to say, I reinforced the pinata, wrapped it several times in twine and wrapped around the loop too, so it was supported and reinforced.

We didn't have to resort to an aluminum bat and teenagers, but everyone had a good chance to try.

After this we ate some more, had birthday cupcakes and eventually the afternoon had to come to an end before it turned to the evning.

Thank you once again for hosting this splendid party.

We love you, Val

They even decorated the shrubs.

Pam's family hid all these eggs, enough for twelve each.

If a person reaches the limit, then they have to help the little kids.

Everybody was happy

I love this picture of Pam and John. It reminded me of the time when John was cooking a new recipe, something of Pam's, and he teased her that he was going to call her up while he did it and ask so many questions that she'd stop answering the phone.

He laughed.

Pam smiled at him, but then she said, "No. I would always answer the phone."

That blue butterfly dress is a dress my mom bought for Heidi for her to wear on her first communion.

Pinata next

easter, 2025

Julia asked to attend church at St. John's, and it was gorgeous in the morning sun, pancake breakfast and all downstairs.
Then we headed to Pam and Paul's to celebrate.
