anyway

There are some kids with Swimmer's Ear, who are finding things to do besides having their poor ears in water.  So they created forts and so forth in the field beyond the field.

It kept them busy for hours. They asked me for blankets and sheets.  Yup, I have those. You can have these.  They went back and forth on that golf cart for hours.

They also dug holes.  John asked them not to do this anymore.  They're ankle wrenchers, and he has to take time to fill them back up again. This morning Dannell was insistent and strict. NO MORE DIGGING HOLES.  Fill these back up, RIGHT NOW.

boat parade from the weekend

Here's an old dog behind the window, checking out the events while enjoying air conditioning.

supper on the patio

Pretty afternoon, miserably HOT.  So oppressively, stifling hot.

sweet july

Joe put his sailboat in the water.
He had a full audience, and they were quite pleased.

 No idea what's happening here.

That man-looking person over to the right is our oldest grandchild.  How is that possible? The World's Loudest Grandchild is quiet now.  He's no longer a nutty squirrel.  He's funny, and is superb company, observant and kind.

And that baby tossing herself through the air into his hands--she calls him, "Cramp-aw."

an incredible photo

It's a picture of John and Dan in conversation, burning the stump along the shore, framed by the most amazing after storm clouds.

Alicia took this picture, and wow.  Just wow.

Love you all so dearly, MOM
