This place was the greatest.  We were asked to go along, and honestly from the highway the place looks a little sketch.

My expectations were very low.

Well.

Wrong!

It was a completely golden morning in a peaceful, lovely place.

And then back home for pizza, gifts, lots of laughing.

I hope you had a wonderful birthday and you guys had a fun anniversary too.

It was fun to hang out with these people.  They've become very civilized these days.

Well, not sure about this one.  I was very nervous out in the yard at dusk when she wouldn't come inside, kept up with the tricky maneuvers running around while I followed her with the big garage broom and a skewer for marshmallows, ready to fend off any predators coming her way.

When she went inside, I quick whipped the door shut. Enough funny business.

Anyway, so many memories of all the years you've been in this family, and nothing but grateful.

We never knew we had neighborhood cats until we got the cameras, and find out, yeah we do.

the last week of september

Jay's been working on this part of the house.  It's going fine, just one of those jobs that is hard not to procrastinate.  For the most part we don't even really see this part of the house.  

Well, ignoring came to an end finally.

Saturday we made it to the Farmer's Market in Spooner, love the fresh flowers.

Maria pointed out how dirty the deck was.  Really dirty.   

Jay sprayed it with the power washer and I scrubbed it with detergent and the broom, and it cleaned up nicely.   It'll be ready to seal again this fall.

She had a bath, and a boat ride to dry off.

These Monday guys are just cute.  It was a perfect day to be outside.

Got the ghost up.  This thing has lasted a long time, and I like him a lot.

Also decorated the play house, so cute.
