friday morning

We went to his school for this circus program, and the kids and teachers did a great job.  It was very fun.  He was in the script as a seal.

But he got overwhelmed.

It's fine. Life is like that sometimes.

Darling girl, this was a great party and it was lovely to spend a little time with you tonight.

Here's hoping the year ahead is all kinds of wonderful and being eleven is fantastic.

This morning Julia appeared beside me, saying good bye on her way to class.

"Guess where I got my inspiration for this outfit?"

No idea.  It looks very normal.

Then she showed me this:

Last night found the Easter decorations for fun.   There are kids who used to LOVE decorating for any holiday, any reason.

That made me happy while I did it, even though they're big now.

Pam gave us this a long time ago.  This is a miracle it is still unbroken.

Of course she had to get on top of this new pillow.

The kids love this picture of their cousin.  It is always somewhere in the house.  The guy is a man now, like 30 years old, but this picture persists into infinity.

It is awfully cute.

And this little goon eating the dog's food for no reason. 

Yesterday Dani was on the couch enjoying that new pillow and this guy walked by. Dani observed, but didn't move.  The cat came back specifically to pop her on the nose.   She said nothing, just a big, loud sigh.

They have an interesting relationship, all three of the pets.

a monday, brought to you by cuteness

Everyone was in such a great mood today. The day went by fast.

Look at those french fries.  He'd hold them up for me to blow on, cool them down.

And then this guy was here at the end of the day, getting addresses for the wedding invites.

That was kind of the perfect ending to this sweet Monday.

We spent the afternoon with these guys.  The little one kept letting this dog outside, and we kept letting her back in again.

It's cold out today!

Yeah, you!

Today though, she said all our names and was downright chatty, sat with Grandpa on the couch and watched the Olympics, very sweet.

This one was working on her desk and set me up with some fancy coloring books and markers, and we kept company while she cleaned.  She shared her mango candy and it was pretty nice.

 

And this person in the cutest Snoopy t shirt was peaceful and nice, told me she loved me when I left.

When we got home homework was in progress.

And now it is almost bedtime and tomorrow is Monday.

These guys were here last Monday.

That little baby is so pretty and sweet, but see that coffee table in the photo with Dani?

It came from Maria's house and she brought it here.  I love it, but that baby has a vengeance on it. First he pounded it with a matchbox car real hard.

No, no, no.  Not a good idea.

Then he climbed on it multiple times.

Again, bad idea.

THEN? He got underneath and pushed that heavy plate of beveled glass up with his feet.

!!!!

Okay, no.   All done. Be all done.

Jay and I carried that thing out to the living room.  Seemed like the safest idea.

We're going to take it out of there again tonight, in preparation for the morning when they'll be back.

Hahaha, you little devils.
