more quiet lake

This little flower turned up in the clover near Dan and Alicia's propane tank--such a cutie.

In my flower pots, seeds from Renee are growing, and hens and chicks (maybe that's not quite the right name) my parents sent are taking hold.

This morning before the rainy afternoon, we went to the playground.  Getting energy out is a high priority.  Not mine. Mine is quite under control. Other people have energy to burn.

This little girl with her mama spotter walked up and down and all around.  At naptime storms were moving in and thunder, so she had no nap, was so exhausted at the end of the day.

Other days she threw out all her blankets, took off all her clothes and chucked those out of the crib too, much to the consternation of her parents.

Well, not tonight. She threw herself down in her cuddly nest and closed her eyes.

Monkey bars!  Always a challenge--if you can do them, the blisters will still get you, but totally worth it to try.

And then in the evening arting it up.  The kid enjoys the process even more than the results.  The stapler was involved, and also a lot of tape.

Whatever.  We're on lake time right now.

Exactly.  Baby Yoda anyone?  She's good, has strategy and patience.

July?  Halfway gone?

I appreciate you, in spite of yourself.

Love, MOM, aka GRANDMA, aka Val.
