Yes, this lovely LADY is ten.
There's the brother who helped me with birthday shopping. First I texted him, because he was the only person in the family likely to answer at that time of day, whether his sister head pierced ears or not.
Yes.
So then I stood there looking at these earrings for a couple long minutes, and then decided to consult with him, "Which do you think she'd like more?"
He kindly evaluated these and chose the top ones.
Vey appreciated input, plus he was right-- she did like them.
The perfume I chose myself because you can't smell that over texting. When showing it to the kids at home later I mentioned one of choices smelled like a brothel, so didn't go with that one.
Kari grinned at me, "And you would know this how?"
Hahaha. Okay, fine. I didn't like it. It smelled like old satin drapes or something, like from an old time western movie. Again, that makes no sense.
Also noticed this is there were no toys this year. These kids are so growing up.
Today is a full day with basketball and dance, and a giant birthday cake her dad was taking out of the oven while we were there.
Sweet darling, hoping today was a wonderful birthday.
Ten years of you, with your astute observations and silly sense of humor? Your kind heart?
This whole family is lucky with you in it.
Happy Birthday, love Grandma and Grandpa and Everybody
