babies and puddles

She came over to help us watch the kids and hang out.

He stayed right by her side.

This little guy is so charming.
The puddles are crazy.  When the frost comes out of the ground, they disappear in immediately.

After the little guys left she and I worked on Perler beads.  We had our creations all complete and then when I tried to iron them?   They wrecked!  Heidi wondered if the iron wasn't hot enough.  Maybe that's it. I blamed the protective ironing paper for being worn out.  I ordered a new jar of beads,  comes with fresh paper too.

After that artistic defeat, we walked to the park.

It said only for school kids during the school day, sign hanging on the fence. She looked in the windows and said she thought they were on spring break. Nobody was there.

So we went in.

The kids, years ago, staged a photo with this hippo, so I told her to get in there and act scared.

She's laughing too much to be convincing, but it was fun.  Little Jay got the joke.

There's home as viewed from the park.
And the puddles, vast and enticing.

You kids made a fine spring Monday even better.

Love, Grandma
