one more year in your thirties

 It was a great weekend, and so much fun to be with you on your actual birthday, for the whole live-long day.

 Opening gifts in low-slung lawn chairs has its challenges, but so glad it was not raining or horribly hot.  It was a great weekend, actually.

Here are a couple pictures from birthdays past.  Dang, we've known each other a long time.

Today on a boat ride that was pretty much a misery for your sister and her clingy toddlers and unhappy baby, I caught a picture of you and Miss O were all cuddled up.

second year of college

Starts on Monday. Maria and Dad moved her back in, and here's hoping for a really great year.

 It was a fun night, not too hot out.

 The kids were enthusiastic about his gifts.  He liked them too.

 Cake time!

 These I did not take.  I left the battery charger for my camera at the lake, so that's dead.  I've been using my phone.

Well.  Some others took possession of my phone apparently.

 Anyway, that was a surprise that made me laugh.   Alicia took this picture as the hyper level went way up.  They got into the dress up clothes and old Halloween costumes like they pretty much always do, and ran screaming around the yard.  The dog was scared a little of the masks, but she also wanted to chase them, sweaty loud kids.
