party at kirby's

The parade route goes right past her house, so she invited us all for snacks and parade viewing, pretty nice.

The food was awesome--little bbq weenies, several kinds of dip, cheese and crackers, and fruit and strawberry shortcake. Kirsten knows how to cook.

Her roommate, Nick, looked at the food and asked if she was expecting an army. She said, "No, my brothers."

Anyway, I seriously LOVE this--having adult kids who have us over for stuff. It's fantastic, and it's something nobody ever told me about. Nobody mentioned the fun of this.

Why didn't they?

So I'm telling you all with little kids--you've got this to look forward to, and you're going to LOVE it.

Okay, pictures from the afternoon. love, Val

Here's her baby Payton who has grown quite a lot. Below is a picture of her missing teeth.

Look at l.c. covering his ears. It does get loud.

The art cars are a lot of fun.
