happy birthday, john

It was such a surprisingly great weekend.

We played cards and enjoyed so much foolishness, watched a good movie and talked for hours, in peace. It felt luxurious to have time together like this.

There's Dannell on the dock with all the dinosaurs in a row beside her.  You don't see that every day.

He had a better ride after a minute of bouncing.  To Dad, I said, "That doesn't look like a fun ride."  He looked over his shoulder and abruptly cut the gas, gave the kid time to get onto the kneeboard properly and then it was fun.

 Cake time!
Give a kid a lighter, right?

Your baby sister and your very old dog:

Aww, beautiful!

A couple from the past--you and me, summer of 1979. Look how cute--I love your 70s terry cloth baby clothes.

And this old photo from Memorial Day up at Spooner many years ago, watching dad racing past in that old boat we loved.
So glad to be your mom these past 40 years.

There aren't even words to describe how much I love you.

Happy Birthday, Buddy,

Love Me and Dad and Everybody
