There was road construction on the way and a detour and gosh it took a long time to get there.  First thing we did was go find FOOD.  The waffle fries are truly amazing, and eating them outside in the breeze, perfect.

When I was a kid the animals used to sit in little cement cages and looked pretty miserable, some even a bit psychotic pacing and acting weird.   But here the animals seem fine, other than a bit bored.

 The seals always had it pretty good with a big outdoor area to swim and holler at the crowd to throw them fish.

 After the animals, the carousel.  This used to be out at the fairgrounds, but they relocated it to inside a building and did some restoration.  It's a huge carousel and very fast.

 Then we went to the conservatory.   Usually I love it, but this day we cruised through pretty fast because it was so darn hot in there.

 Our niece was married in this wedding chapel garden.

 Then we hit this room on the way out.  The baby loved it and tried to climb into the water table.

And then we came home, and that's that.   love you kids, Mom
