Alicia and I are fond of each other, truly. Plus, I love my grandchildren in a fierce, fiery way. And yet it's not a lie that one of the things I love about these kid-in-laws is our shared affection for my children.

If not, just go get lost. She loves Dan. I have never doubted it for a single second. Even when he's crabby and all Engineer Regimented and she's in Finance, and that's a bigger picture view? She loves my kid.
This whole weekend, spent in town, not at the cabin?
