critters

 On the way back from their walk to the dam, we ran across this turtle:

 He's cool.  I picked him up and tilted him so they could see his colorful belly.  Then we put him back in the tall grass. When we went back a few minutes later, he was long gone, ran back to the swamp.

 And caterpillars--I love them.  These kids with the dark hair are friends from the lake.

 And they caught this crayfish.  He was cool too.

 

All in all, it was a good weekend, brought to us by love and patience.  When this many people are all together, personalities and dynamics, and RAIN at times--Whee.

But we did it.
