cheeks

She's wearing James' old sweater.  It 's handmade. I bought it at a garage sale, and it always accentuated his cheeks too.  It's so much fun to see it come back again.

On Wednesday we went to Toddler Time again, met Michelle, had fun.

 Blanky flying and blurry:

This is E + E, good buddies.  She filled this dog kennel with doll blankets and toys.  The dog doesn't seem to mind. She's nice.

Except yesterday, the kid was waving her blanket around, calling to the dog.  You know, as soon as Elin grabs that blanket and makes a move, there will be so much crying.

Well.

Eventually Elin did grab the blanket and try to take off, and then the child clutched on and went to bite the dog on the ear.  I screamed, baby sister in my arms, "Do Not Bite!!"

She stopped.

Sweet Jesus.
And it's the last week ahead, cruising into Christmas.  I'm looking forward to seeing John's kids, because we have not seen much this fall.  I work. They work.  We all work.  The kids have activities.  I understand completely.   But I still miss them.   Dan's kids--it's not much better.  After spending so much time together over the summer, it's been slim since school started.

Life, you know?

And Kirsten will be home in five days, which we are so looking forward to.

And that is that, on a warm, quiet evening in December.

Nothing but love,   Val

p.s.  Tim is in Driver's Ed.
