It was lovely, absolutely the most loving, funny, astute testimonials to the person he was--his music and art, his listening ear and kindness, the good food and laughter. It was sad, but also good to be together and to reminisce about a life well lived.
I took this picture of them back in 2006, just a quick moment, and moved on. But then later, it was such a pretty picture, I printed it out and mailed them a 5x7, mentioning that they were one of the most romantic couples I'd ever met. They were too--the friendship they shared and the love they extended to everyone around them.
Anyway, nothing but love.
