We didn't know what to expect, but it was fun.
You have to be five, so these two could not participate in the Ninja activities, but they didn't seem to care.
The young people in charge were kind and encouraging and even made observations of the way an individual kid moved, so they could make useful suggestions: "Pump your arms the whole way!" "Lean back, you're leaning forward, that's slowing you down. Lean ahead."
I would certainly have no idea.
It was a very sweaty, hard-working kind of party.
Okay, so this was no normal cake. Those are Rice Krispie bars cut in star shapes, stuck onto sticks and frosted. Ei-yi-yi.
Kirsten came over in the evening and Maria was here, and honestly, we could not think of a better way to spend this day than with our family.
So much love, Mom and Dad, aka Grandma and Grandpa
