at the lake on mea weekend

It's like a holiday here.  We go with it.

And our friends were here, and we had a great time.

And this guy was there.  I haven't hugged him in a long time--could be a couple weeks.  It was fun to be together with him and his brothers too.

p.j. and l.c. playing a bit of soccer:

In the rain John found a bowling alley that was open in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, so we went there.  The crazy one in Webster had limited hours.  That's the one with the wild carpeting last year.
Heidi didn't much feel like going, but she did.   She's pregnant with a baby p.j. has named Cake-Cake.    Cake-Cake is sucking the energy out of her.

There's JJ our friend's daughter in the red jacket.  She and Julia love each other very dearly.   Today we took them to the airport after lunch and poor Julia wept the whole way home, to the point p.j. was comforting her.

Dannell is also pregnant, and so is Alicia.  2015 is going to be a new baby year.

And this guy is so grown up anymore.  He's becoming more and more civilized by the day.

Here's Renee, winner of the game:

Anyway, rainy Saturdays don't come much better.

Love, Val, aka Grandma, aka Mom
