spring in the rain

 This little petunia turned up blooming.

Pansies love cool, damp days:

So did this ancient old lilac bush.

 This barbecue grill is slowly returning to the earth.  This may be the summer we get a dumpster and knock it down for real and be done with it.   When we first moved in, we cooked on it a few times, but it took an incredible amount of charcoal and then there was this hot thing in the yard with the kids--nah.

 Kirsten sent this from Florida for Mother's Day--each side is adorably different:

Onward to Thursday, more rain awaits, but next week the sun's coming back.
