a rainy tuesday

 We were going to go to the splash pad, but not in the pouring rain.

We felt sorry for ourselves for a little while, but then decided to make the best of the day and headed over to the children's event at the mall.  It was decorate a patriotic visor and face painting.

Good enough.

 Julia came along to help.  She was great.

 She was wearing a Halloween cape as a skirt, and I didn't bother arguing.

 On the way home we stopped for ingredients to make Funfetti 4th of July cupcakes.  She did almost all of it, and it's hard work for little arms.

So much love to the squirrels who make rainy days fun.
