more fall

The sun behind the rain clouds:
This phenomenal bouquet from the from the farmer's market--$10.  This was the last day of farmer's market for the season. Glad we made it there. We bought homemade salsa and pickles too.

This is her, the sit down stand up ride.  She's happy, we're happy.
The maple tree!  We bough this house end of October, 1988, so the tree was bare.  As the seasons unfolded over the next year, we took notice of what was here and what wasn't.  Mostly wasn't.  A house built in the mid 40s without a single perennial?  Without any trees in the back yard?  It was weird.

But this maple has never disappointed.

We planted these hydrangeas a number of years ago.  They have not disappointed either.

Ahhh, sweet October.   Love, Val
