met a cat

 Jay and Katie have a new cat, so Kari and I went over to meet her last night.  Nobody in our family has ever had a cat before--too many allergic people, so this was fun.

A storm moved in while we were there, drenching sheets of rain, but as we arrived the gathering clouds were gorgeous.

Here they are, Jay and Katie.

I did not take one picture of the cat.

She's tiny and soft, calico colors, was friendly and happy to play with us, sneaking and pouncing, pretty little face and sandpaper tongue.

The last day of June ended on a very good note.
