relocating the boy

Not this boy-he's staying put.    The relocating one is that turtle and tank in the photo behind him.

I am including these pictures as a reference point for that turtle tank in the kitchen:  how large it is.   Today Heidi and Kirsten and I had a conversation about moving it out of the kitchen and where it could to and still be convenient for cleaning purposes.  (It has to be siphoned and water replaced every two weeks.)

Anyway, we did it--took their suggestions and moved it out to the family room.

 Ta-Da!   Bernie the Turtle seems fine, and Julia commented that the water seemed a little short.  It is.  We have more water set up to add tomorrow evening and then it'll be all back to normal.   (Jay said we should seize the moment since Little Jay was home tonight to help carry the tank.)

 And the kitchen looks downright spacious.   We'll give this a chance. We can always move him back again if we find out we like it better as it was.
