last saturday in june

 The big kids stayed up pretty late Friday night.

The babies were up bright and early:

John bought them a couple rolls of masking tape.  It kept them busy for hours, building a fort, they said.

I asked no further  questions.

 This is a  big, water-filled pad Dannell made for the kids to play on.   It's sheet plastic, duct taped around the edges and filled with water.   This thing did not rip or break down. When we left, Jay moved it to the top of the toy box in the yard.

It was too cold to swim and the boat wasn't running right anyway, so it was better in the back yard.
