summer holiday #4

They're working on it, and she was on her feet for a few brief moments.  Something about these pictures touches my heart to the point it brings me to tears.  It's my oldest child, with his littlest sister in his arms, helping her learn to ski. 

This guy got on his feet and made it in a loop around the lake.   This is a good picture, but the other kids noticed the zoomed in version tells more the story.

 In this one, we can see his face, and see the neighbors clapping and the neighbor kid behind him cheering, arm extended overhead.

Below is  the smile of a kid who is on his way.   We hauled the skis in, and then flipped down the ladder for him and I said, "Smile for a picture!"

Nervous, cold, happy, exhilarated.
