Here's a picture from the bus stop.
I took a few pictures on the bus ride.
We have a clothesline at home too, and I like it and use it sometimes--but it's not on the roof.
Though I suppose it could be. We have a flat roof where there's a good breeze.
Finally, after a rambling walk, we found the entrance to the zoo.
It was nice. I mean, animals in cages, even big cages with animal activity options are still cages.
This zoo reminded us of Como Zoo, kind of small town, and also evolving.
Not sure why a zoo would feature guinea pigs. Heidi laughed about this--are guinea pigs actually interesting animals? Beyond Petco?
But these guys were adorable and loved the carrots we tossed them.
(The zoo sells food to feed the animals--gives directions on the bag about who gets what.)
On the way home, we stopped at a restaurant a hotel staff person had recommended.
The food was absolutely delicious, and the margaritas were so enormous I teased the waiter, "What if he falls off the bus?"
He said, "We've seen that happen before. Don't worry about it."
It was fine.
The view from the restaurant as we watched cats run around on the roof. They seem to know what they're doing.
And this entrance was well decorated for Christmas.
And that's that.
love, MOM
