Canals and rivers were dug, bridges built with pieces of bark.
Aww, there's a sweet smile on the first boat ride of the year.
Here's a daring duo out in the bow.
Here are kids working on boring old homework:
I spotted this painted turtle laying eggs on the hill. This isn't the first time. We know very little about turtles. Is this the same turtle over and over? Just a mysteriously great location? No idea.
And after this job was done, the turtle turned and waddled across the grass to the swamp.
Fishing was good, and delicious, true.
Here's her annoyed dog, confined away from the dock.
This is the swamp with the frog chorus warming up for the evening. Dang, they're LOUD.
Look who I found in the bath tub!
A little tiny girl!
Here's the long board guy. He started his new job today, going well.
I looked at this picture a fairly long time, taking in all the people it captured. It's like one of those puzzles, how many trianges do you see? (There are ten people in this picture.)
Oh, Johann, you delicate little princess, you.
This child had The Disease--sore chest, cough, fever. She's better today.

And now it's time to say good night. love you all, Val
