They went this week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
They had to be there between 7:30 and 8:00 am and went until 5pm This was appalling to them. They sleep until 10 normally, never have to do anything for 9 solid hours! Well, they were up, teeth brushed, hair, shoes and socks, bathing suits packed. By the time they got to the park they were awake and ready to go.
They learned about all kinds of safety: car, bike, water, fire, first aid, bullying, internet safety, on and on, more safety types than we ever knew existed. When they told me they had animal safety I asked if they told them never to swing a ferret by the tail. They stared at me and said, no, they had not covered ferrets. (I don't even know if ferrets have tails.)
Anyway, it was a great week.
And this is what's going on in my bed right now:
Yup, the result of three days in the park and at the pool with 75 other kids, learning about safety.
Usually they have to be chased to bed at midnight, but not tonight. love you tired, safe little kids, MOM and DAD
