time for cake

 Yes, it was, and then we realized we were out of forks and out of paper plates.  The wind was brisk.  Dannell found some paper plates and forks in their trailer while Jay and I washed some as fast as we could.

Small problems, minor inconvenience.

We sang and did candles for the little ones, but the big ones?

Oh gosh. They're getting to need a LOT of candles and so we just sang a group sing to them and put aside the formalities.

 And then cake and ice cream--the ice cream did not disappoint.  And then inside for video games and goofing around, a very nice Saturday night.
